HISTORY
The old red telephone box, was the design of “Sir Giles Gilbert Scot” The same architect responsible for Liverpool Cathedral. From 1926 onwards the red telephone boxes were emblazoned with a prominent crown representing the British government.
METHOD
The telephone box was fully disassembled into its component parts ready for blasting, this included the removal of all glass, the door and any lighting or wiring, and the leather straps used to hold the door.
Then the whole structure was abrasive blasted of all paint, rust, or scale from its cast iron design.
